Despite what your friends South of the border might try and tell you, Brisbane is now officially Australia’s lifestyle capital. Brisbane suburbs make up seven of the national top ten lifestyle suburbs, with the sunshine state delivering not only on proximity to the beach but also other key lifestyle factors.
St Kilda West was the only suburb outside of Brisbane to make the lifestyle list top 5, with South Brisbane coming a close second, followed by Dutton Park, Spring Hill and Kangaroo Point.
The suburbs were ranked based on ease of access to schools, parks, beaches and the CBD, by car or public transport, and compiled by realestate.com.au using its own online trends and Australian Bureau of Statistics data.
